For our Quarterly SplashMath prize, the students worked on a S.T.E.M. activity building marshmallow (and skittle) bridges. The students tried working with skittles first to hold their toothpicks together, but soon realized it was hard to stick the toothpicks inside, so we switched to marshmallows! The goal was to build the longest, dangling bridge. Our winning bridge was 31 1/2 inches! For more pictures, visit our classroom photo album.
