Today we used Pharrell Williams's "Happy" music video to prepare for our Reading SOL. We practiced questions such as these:
- What reference resource would you use to find a synonym of "happy"? (Thesaurus)
- What's the author's purpose of this song? (Entertainment and Persuade)
- What suffix could you add to "truth" to make it mean "full of truth"? (Truthful)

The Scholastic Book fair is coming to school next week! Our Book Fair Day is Monday, April 16th. Some students have earned money through our Reading Counts program. Your student has already been told if he/she has earned any money through this program to spend at the Book Fair. Students may bring personal money with them next Monday, as well.
